Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Sisi Al -Buainain, Secretary -General of the House of Representatives, received this morning, Tuesday, a delegation from the Bahrain Voluntary Forum, in the context of the General Secretariat’s keenness to strengthen societal partnership and consolidate parliamentary culture in various groups of Bahraini society.
In this regard, the Secretary -General affirmed that the active communication with the institutions of society is a strategic priority for the Municipality of Representatives, because of its pivotal role in consolidating the democratic approach and promoting national participation in the development and construction process, and that spreading parliamentary culture between the youth and volunteers is an essential pillar for the development of parliamentary awareness and the consolidation of the values of responsible citizenship, stressing his happiness that these efforts reflect the renaissance of the Kingdom of Bahrain Renewable civilization and democracy, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him.
His Excellency added that this meeting embodies the keenness of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al -Muslim, Speaker of the House of Representatives, to support the qualitative initiatives implemented by the General Secretariat, and to encourage them to continue its efforts to open up to various components of society, and to consolidate the values of popular participation in parliamentary work, as these meetings are a solid bridge of constructive communication between the legislative institution and civil society institutions, in a way that contributes to promoting national awareness and supporting the national development process.
The meeting was attended by Representative Hassan Boukhamas, Chairman of the Council of Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security in the Council.
During the visit, the employee Youssef Qarinis, a executive legal researcher at the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives, presented an introductory presentation that dealt with the competencies of the Parliament, the mechanism of the work of its permanent committees, the investigation committees, the brothers and parliamentary friendship, in addition to a review of the most prominent legislative and parliamentary experiences since the founding of the Council.
The program also included a field tour to the main hall dedicated to holding weekly sessions, followed by a visit to the Parliamentary Museum that documents the democratic and civilizational renaissance of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and highlights national achievements and prominent historical positions.
This visit confirms the commitment of the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives to extend bridges of cooperation with civil society institutions, based on its role in supporting the comprehensive national march and enhancing parliamentary awareness.
