The Chinese authorities saved a 30 -hour woman in a closed room in a hostel in Sichuan Province, west of the country, after she managed to send an unfamiliar distress message.
The Lishan city government stated on its platforms on the media that the woman, known as “Chu”, entered the room while working to clean the hostel without her phone being in her possession, but she was unable to leave due to a locking malfunction.
After many failed attempts, the woman wrote the emergency number (110) and room number (625) on a pillow using her blood, and threw her from the window. A connection driver found the pillow and noticed the numbers written on it, and he rushed to inform the police.
The security authorities arrived at the site immediately and were able to open the door and remove the woman, who appeared in a state of exhaustion but in good health.
The Leshan authorities offered a financial reward of 3 thousand yuan (about 420 dollars) to the delivery driver, who helped save them in appreciation of his humanitarian position.
