On Wednesday, Australia rejected Israeli suggestions that its interventions prompted Canberra to expel the Iranian ambassador and blame Tehran for at least two attacks to ignite a deliberate fire with anti -Semitic motives in the two largest cities in the country, Sydney and Melbourne, according to Reuters.

“This is complete nonsense,” Australian Interior Minister Tony Burke told ABC.
Israeli government spokesman David Menser said on Tuesday that “explicit interference” by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his criticism of Australia’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state may have sparked Australia’s reaction.
“The relationship between this country and Australia has been damaged, and it is welcome that the Australian government will take these measures after Prime Minister Netanyahu’s intervention in a timely manner,” Mensar told reporters.
Netanyahu personally attacked his Australian counterpart Anthony Albaniz, describing him as “a weak politician who betrayed Israel and abandoned the Jews of Australia” because of his decision to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in September
