Representatives Khaled Bouak, Ahmed Al -Salloum and Hisham Al -Awadi revealed their progress in a desire to activate the laws and decisions related to employing people with determination in the public and private sectors, in a manner that ensures that they integrate the active in the labor market, and enable them to contribute to the service of the country.
In the explanatory note, they showed that people with determination represent an important segment of Bahraini society, as many of them have proven capabilities and skills in various scientific and practical fields, and they are entitled to obtain fair opportunities in employment based on national legislation and international agreements approved by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Kingdom has taken pioneering steps in the field of enacting laws and legislation that guarantees those with determination their right to work and societal integration, but the most prominent challenge lies in the actual application of these laws and decisions, so a large percentage of people with determination is still facing difficulties in obtaining job opportunities commensurate with their capabilities and qualifications, which limits their positive participation in economic and social development.
They stated that activating these laws will contribute to enhancing the principle of justice and equal opportunities and equality between citizens, and raises the level of benefiting from distinguished national energies, instead of remaining outside the labor market, as it contributes to alleviating financial and social burdens on the state and families of those with determination, by enabling them to rely on themselves, and that the proposal is consistent with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 based on sustainability, competitiveness and justice, And with its obligations to international agreements regarding the rights of persons with disabilities.
They indicated that the entire Bahraini society benefits from the integration of people with determination into the labor market, as their enabling creates a more comprehensive and varied work environment, and helps to raise the level of productivity and creativity in public and private institutions alike, and for all these justifications they asked the government to accelerate the activation of the relevant legislation and decisions, while developing practical mechanisms for follow -up and evaluation to ensure the optimal application, in order to enhance Bahrain’s status This dear category of the homeland.
