CAIRO – The Arab Parliament expressed its condemnation of targeting a humanitarian convoy in North Darfur, Sudan, stressing the need to protect civilians and humanitarian and relief crews and spare them the scourge of conflict. In a statement issued today – the necessity of respecting what was stated in the Jeddah Declaration, to ensure the protection of civilians, secure humanitarian and relief aid corridors and secure their arrival without obstacles, with the aim of helping to end the suffering of the Sudanese people and achieve security and stability throughout Sudan. The Arab Parliament stressed its steadfast and supportive position for Sudan and its people, its constant eagerness to its unity, sovereignty, and the integrity of its lands, and its support for all efforts aimed at achieving its security and stability.
