The Speus X company successfully launched the Dragon charging vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning, as part of the NASA CRS-33 supply mission, loaded with more than 5,000 pounds (2270 kg) of supplies and scientific experiments to the International Space Station, according to the Space website.

The vehicle launched on board the Falcon 9 missile from the 40th space launch complex in Cape Capeeral, Florida, at 2:45 am US EST (06:45 GMT). Dragon is scheduled to fill in the station on Monday, August 25 at the front port of the Harmony unit, with the direct coverage of the fusion process at six in the morning.
The shipment carries a mixture of fresh food, basic supplies and research equipment, in addition to advanced scientific experiments, including bone stem cells to study methods of preventing bone mass loss in the space environment, and materials for printing 3D medical implants can contribute to developing nerve damage to the Earth. Experiments on the tissues of liver are also biological to understand the growth of blood vessels in the lack of gravity, as well as supplies to print metal cubes in space.
NASA plans to use this task as an opportunity to test the re -enhancement of the orbits of the space station through Dragon engines, a task that was usually carried out by Russian “Progress” vehicles. This comes in light of the possibilities of Russia’s withdrawal from the station program by 2028, which prompts NASA to assign its American partners, such as SpaceX and Nortrub Grouman, to carry out these vital operations.
The Dragon CRS-33 vehicle is expected to remain crowded at the station until next December, before it will be re-loaded with shipments and complete experiences to return it to the Earth through the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.
