Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Feldcamp announced his resignation on Friday, after he faced opposition from within his government about his desire to take more measures against Israel.
Divide the Dutch government
Feldcamp told the media Thursday that he wanted to impose additional measures, but a five -hour parliamentary session showed the division of the interim government, in addition to that he had not coordinated his plans with the rest of the cabinet members. Parties like BBB and VVD have refused to overcome the actions taken so far.
Current procedures are limited
So far, the Dutch position has been limited to a symbolic step by imposing an entry prohibition on the two right -wing Israeli ministers, Etamar bin Ghafir and Bamliel Smotrich. Feldagb said that the government “has already taken great steps”, but he felt internal resistance for any additional measures due to what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank.
Reasons for resignation
“This will not change in the months or years. If my maneuvering space is so limited, I will go back to my house and write my resignation speech.”
Collective resignations from NSC
In a dramatic development, all NSC ministers announced their resignations shortly after the resignation of Veldcamp, including the Minister of Social Affairs Eddie Van Hygm, the Interior Minister Judith Ottermark, the Minister of Education, EPO Boins, and the Minister of Health Daniel Yansen, in addition to a number of young ministers.
The position of the resigned party ministers
Van Heege said that Veldagb did not get the necessary space to work, and that his credibility and the reliability of the party are at stake, adding: “It has ended. The actions of the Israeli government are inconsistent with international agreements. We have to put a clear line.”

The interim Prime Minister is expected to make a silver with a later statement on Friday about these sudden resignations that threaten the stability of the interim government.
