Representative Hisham Al -Hosary, Chairman of the Agriculture and Irrigation Committee in the House of Representatives, decree of the Agriculture and Food Security Committee in the national dialogue, announced the end of the problem of delay in the payment of the dues of cotton farmers, specifically in the Dakahlia Governorate, permanently.
Head of Representatives Agriculture: A new transfer to the dues of cotton and drainage farmers next Sunday
The deputy revealed during his statements today to the parliamentary editors, that the Minister of Agriculture, Alaa Farouk, had informed him of the end of the Ministry of Finance’s procedures regarding the transfer of the remaining amount of the dues of cotton farmers in Dakahlia Governorate, to the Egypt Trade and Cotton and Agricultural Bank, in order to deliver them to farmers.
The head of the Agriculture Committee in the House of Representatives said: “It is expected that the dues of farmers will start next Sunday, so that the problem of delayed farmers’ dues has ended.”
The Chairman of the Agriculture and Irrigation Committee in the House of Representatives explained that this step is the last step to solve the problem adopted by the committee during the past months, as it was discussed in more than one meeting and coordination with the relevant ministers: they are the Minister of Agriculture, Alaa Farouk, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kojak, and Counselor Mahmoud Fawzi, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs.
