When the mothers cried on the sake of the pleasures of the livers, and when the children of the children who were deprived of the bosom of their fathers and their mothers were screaming at the moment of recklessness, the decision of His Majesty the great king came as the voice of the Most Merciful, to turn their tears into legislation, and their sorrows into a law that protects lives. Decree of Law No. (30) of 2025 was not just an amendment in the traffic texts, but rather a human pulse from the heart of a king who wanted his children to live in safe roads without calamities or blood.

Nothing is more harsher on the soul than turning a moment of joy into a tragedy, as happened in the horrific accident of the terrible, who kidnapped the lives of an entire family, and left two innocent children facing life alone, orphans without a father or a mother, at an age that knows only the language of tenderness and family warmth. Imagine (and you read these lines) that a child wakes up every morning looking for the bosom of her mother and does not find it, and waiting for the kiss of the father before the school so she does not come, and she sits in the classroom surrounded by her colleagues while her heart wonders: Why am I without parents? How do I live in a world that was kidnapped from me at once? How many Bahraini house lived this painful scenario this year, and how many mother turned into a bitter cry, and how many father turned his dream of the future of his children into a cold grave.

The numbers alone are sufficient to show the size of the tragedy: in March 2025 only, Bahrain recorded that 58 % of traffic accidents left severe injuries, while minor injuries reached 33 %, while 9 % of these accidents ended with death. These proportions are not just rigid data, but rather bloody human stories, behind every bereaved house number, sons of orphans, and dreams suddenly stopped at a red signal or a reckless speed.

In the face of this painful reality, the decree of Law No. (30) of 2025 regarding amending some of the provisions of the Traffic Law, issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the bone country, may God protect and preserve him, to be a protective shield, and a caring patriarchal message to every Bahraini house. A message that says: “Your life is precious, and your souls are honest, and we will not allow the reckless people to tamper with it.”

The new modifications are not just rigid texts on paper, but rather a crying cry in the face of each reckless, and a warning message for each driver: Think a thousand times before you press the speed pedal, before you are underestimated with a red signal, or before you lead under the influence of intoxicating and drug. Your decision in seconds may mean life or death, and it may be written for an entire family a tragic end.

However, let’s be realistic: the law alone is not enough. We (as individuals and society) are partners in this responsibility. Commitment to the traffic system is not a fear of a fine, imprisonment, or the confiscation of the vehicle, but rather a moral commitment to God, the homeland and humanity. Each of us must remember that when he drives his car, he drives a trust: the lives of his children in the back seat, the future of his family waiting for him, and dreams of other families shared by the road.

Frankly, thanks and gratitude to the majesty of the great king is a duty for all of us. The new law is not just a text that we apply or neglect, but rather a era of life. He who adheres to him preserves himself and his family, and whoever underestimates is sowing death in our roads. Bahrain does not tolerate more orphans and angels, and between the law and the conscience of the driver is determined by the fate: either a safe homeland, or an endless bleeding.
