A source familiar with the Ministry of Health revealed to “Cairo 24” that the body of a maintenance technician “AR” was killed inside the Mansoura Specialized Hospital of the General Secretariat of the specialized medical centers, to the morgue of Al -Mansoura International Hospital, based on a decision from the relevant authorities.
The source pointed out that the accident occurred while the technician carried out maintenance work inside a hospital’s elevator, where the elevator suddenly fell while he was inside him, which led to his death at once, pointing out that the shock force caused his head to be separated from his body.
The source added that the police forces rushed to the site of the accident as soon as it occurred, while the investigation authorities began their work to determine the circumstances of the incident, and the General Secretariat assigned a specialized technical committee to examine the causes of the elevator’s fall, and to ensure the maintenance and safety procedures followed inside the hospital.
The source confirmed that the investigations are still ongoing, and the necessary legal measures will be taken, as soon as the examination and official technical reports are completed.
