The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs organized a field visit to the Library of Alexandria, under the auspices of Dr. Osama Al -Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahim Al -Bayoumi, Secretary -General of the Council, in which 50 students from the female students who registered on the scholarship of the council and scholars at Al -Azhar University participated, during which a number of leaders of the council were accompanied.

The visit program included an introductory tour within the library, which included the main acquaintance hall, museums, research centers, digital archives, and audiovisual library.
The students expressed their appreciation for the recent organization, organizations, and knowledge diversity within the corridors of the library.
This visit comes as part of a program to introduce female students to the most important cultural and historical landmarks in Egypt, where the Library of Alexandria is one of the most prominent intellectual and cognitive edifices in the region.
In this context, the Ministry of Awqaf affirms its keenness to take care of the expatriate students, support their scientific and cultural career, and develop their intellectual capabilities, to confirm Egypt’s bright image in spreading the values of moderation, tolerance and openness to cultures.
