The General Communications and Information Technology Authority has announced the blocking of the “Roblox” game in Kuwait, based on its legal powers to protect users, especially the children of children.
The authority said through its official account on the social networking site «X» that this decision comes in response to the complaints of the parents and the competent authorities about the risks contained in the game on the safety of children, including exposure to unsafe practices, electronic exploitation and harmful behaviors, as well as inappropriate contents and unsafe purchasing practices.
In its statement, the authority confirmed that the decision to block is temporary until the completion of its negotiations with the operating company and to ensure its commitment to delete any abusive or dangerous contents, and to provide adequate protection criteria for children, before reconsidering the lifting of the game.
