The Directorate of Youth and Sports in Menoufia Governorate, under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Major General Ibrahim Abu Laimon, Governor of Menoufia, announced the launch of the “enlightened minds” competition specialized in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, within the framework of the ministry’s plan to spread the culture of innovation and develop the skills of young people and youth.

Dr. Samir Karam, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Menoufia, stressed that the competition comes in response to the state’s direction towards supporting technological creativity, and opening new horizons for future generations to keep pace with global scientific developments, noting that these initiatives contribute to preparing a generation capable of competing in the future labor market.
Engineer Hassan Badr, Undersecretary of the Directorate of Youth, explained that the competition targets the age group from 12 to 17 years, and aims to develop their scientific and practical capabilities in the fields of programming and robots, by assigning them to the task of designing and manufacturing a mobile robot or an automatic arm (Robot ARM) with a self -control mechanism, allowing them to enhance their creative capabilities.
The conditions for participation include that the contestant’s life is in the specified category, while adhering to the application of ideas and projects in the areas most in need to achieve a practical and societal return. The Directorate emphasized that the door for participation is available to those who want through the General Administration of Emstance, which will receive inquiries and provide all information related to the registration and executive stages of the competition.
