The Department of Municipalities and Transport, represented in the municipality of Abu Dhabi City, has completed the second phase of the “Nour Abu Dhabi” project by lighting roads with the energy -saving system, where 133,473 new scouts were installed. The project aims to reduce energy consumption, as consumption has been reduced from 356 million kilowatt hours to about 86.7 thousand kilowatts/ hour annually, a saving exceeding 75% of the energy, and the project also contributed to reducing carbon emissions from 138 million and 800 thousand kilograms of carbon dioxide to about 33 million and 800 thousand kilograms.
