Secondary schools in various educational departments continue to organize introductory seminars for first -year secondary students and their parents on the Egyptian baccalaureate system, within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to spread awareness of new educational systems and enable students to choose the most appropriate path for them.
Seminars focus on explaining the philosophy of the Egyptian baccalaureate system, its goals and evaluation mechanisms, as well as clarifying the differences between it and the traditional high school system, in addition to highlighting the opportunities to join Egyptian universities through it, whether governmental, private or private.
This move comes as a continuation of the Ministry’s efforts to provide freedom of choice for students, while emphasizing that the Egyptian baccalaureate certificate is officially recognized, and high school treatment is treated in terms of university admission through the coordination office, according to what was approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
The officials of the educational departments emphasized that these seminars seek to raise the level of awareness among students and parents, and help them make enlightened decisions in line with their educational capabilities and interests.
Education denies the exclusion of the baccalaureate graduates from the progress of military colleges and the police
Earlier, sources at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education denied the reports of the lack of entitlement to graduates of the Egyptian baccalaureate or other foreign certificates, in the progress of military colleges or the police academy, stressing that this is incorrect and unfounded information.
The sources confirmed that the conditions for admission to military colleges and the police academy do not distinguish between the quality of the secondary certificate obtained by the student, whether it is the Egyptian high school diploma or Arab or foreign equivalent certificates, including the “International Baccalaureate” certificate.
The sources indicated in education, that the basic criterion for admission is to fulfill the general conditions announced by the competent authorities, which are the Ministry of Defense for military colleges, and the Ministry of Interior for the Police Academy, and these conditions include passing the various admission tests (medical, sports, psychological), in addition to the conditions for nationality, total, age and other controls officially announced.
