Dr. Shaima Sabry, Director of Training and Schools Department at the Health Directorate in Alexandria, revealed that 7 technical secondary schools for nursing in Alexandria Governorate were approved to be a five -year system instead of three years.

She explained about the start of the implementation of the decision at the beginning of the next academic year, knowing that the study will be completed in the fourth and fifth teams under the supervision of the Health Technical Institute, after the formation of a joint committee from the Directorate of Health Affairs, the Health Technical Institute and the General Administration of Technical Health Institutes Affairs to inspect the proposed schools, and to ensure that it matches the required specifications in terms of spatial space and equipment.
She pointed out that the approved schools included the Nursing School at Abu Qir General Hospital, the Nursing School at Al -Gomhoria Hospital, the Nursing School at Dar Ismail Hospital, the Nursing School in Ras Al -Teen Hospital, the Nursing School at Burj Al Arab Hospital, the Nursing School in the Nasiriyah Health Unit in Al -Amiriya, the Burj Al Arab School for Boys in the Health Unit in the second district, by 6 schools for girls and one school for boys, guaranteeing Graduating new generations of academically and practically qualified nursing, in line with the requirements of the health system and the state’s tendencies to improve the medical services provided to citizens.
This came under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Yahya Badran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria, and within the framework of the keenness of the Health Affairs Directorate in Alexandria to develop health technical education and improve the level of nursing cadres.
