The investigation authorities in the Suez Governorate requested a technical report on the causes of the fire that broke out in the Silicon Valley Complex in the Chinese region of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, with the workers ’statements and the review of the cameras to determine whether there is a criminal suspicion or not.
A source in the Suez Governorate said in statements to “Cairo 24” that the number of injured people in the fire that broke out next to one of the warehouses rose to 14 injured, all of them with suffocation, as 8 of them were assisted and their health condition improved, while the rest of the injured are subject to medical observation and there are no serious cases.
The source pointed out that the fire will not affect the production process within the complex, which is concerned with manufacturing the supplies and accessories of mobile phone.
He added that Major General Tariq Hamed Al -Shazly, the governor of Suez, has constantly directed the preparations of the civil protection and firefighting devices, with coordination between the petroleum and industrial companies to move immediately and implement plans to deal with fires in conjunction with the hot wave that the governorate is currently witnessing.
