“Transportation” participates in the work of the meeting of the “Postal and Communications” committee in the cooperation countries in Kuwait

Mrs. Fatima Abdullah Al -Dhafin, Undersecretary of Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Communications and Communications, and Mr. Yassin El -Sayed, Assistant Undersecretary for Air Navigation and Meteorological Services in the work of the thirty -first meeting of the Committee of the Agents of the Ministries of Post and Communications in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held in the State of Kuwait with the participation of official delegations from member states and representatives of the General Secretariat.

The meeting dealt with a number of topics aimed at developing the postal and communications sectors in the GCC countries, which included promoting postal integration, developing products and services, supporting regional partnerships, in addition to discussing future action plans in the areas of digital infrastructure, organizing roaming services, and supporting emerging technologies. The agenda also included a review of reports and statistical studies on the performance of the two sectors, with the aim of supporting development plans and raising operational efficiency.

On this occasion, the Undersecretary of Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Communications and Communications affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to support the joint Gulf efforts to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in these two vital sectors, noting that the decisions and recommendations that were approved represent an important step towards upgrading the services provided, and achieving more economic and social integration between the GCC countries.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing joint work to adopt initiatives that enhance the competitiveness of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the fields of mail and communications, and to support the sustainable development process in the region.
