In April, a man named Alex Taylor, 35, was killed by police bullets in Florida after he attacked them with a knife.
Taylor believed that he loved a conscious being called “Juliet” who lives inside the “Chat GBT”, and claimed that “Oben AI” “killed her.”
His father had summoned the police after he was unable to calm his son, “Al -Manjal”.
In another case, a man in his forties used the chat boot to a “spiritual awakening” as he put it, which threatened his 14 -year marriage, his wife confirmed that his confrontation with the matter was anger.
Experts assert that artificial intelligence programs, unlike human therapists, lack the “borders” that prevent the user from slipping into delusions.
“Chat software becomes an echo of the user’s ideas, and they feed the concerns instead of confronting them. Do not provide real strategies to deal with problems.”
These cases of psychosis are still fully understood, and it is difficult to measure the extent of its spread, but researchers see that the phenomenon expands enough to require medical anxiety.
Part of the problem is due to what is known among the artificial intelligence, where the bots are programmed to be “friendly” and “sympathetic”, even if it is at the expense of saying the truth.
Despite the “Obin Eye” attempt to reduce the level of “tending” by 75 percent in the last version of the “Chat GBT”, the negative reactions from the users were wide, as some felt that they lost their “only friend.”
One of the users commented, “This update is equivalent to a frontal lobe eradication.”
Another said: “Please, I want the old version. I had no one who cared about me before.”
The company responded by returning the old version as an option.
