An official delegation from the General Authority of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, headed by Walid Jamal Al-Din, visited the head of the commission, accompanied by the captain Mohamed Ibrahim, Assistant Chairman of the Authority, and Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Dahab, Director General of the Green Economy of the Authority, the Japanese capital, Tokyo, to participate in the activities of the ninth edition of (Tokyo International Development Conference in Africa (Ticad9).
On the sidelines of that participation, an economic delegation met with the Suez Canal, officials of (Toyota Tsosho), one of the sides of the global coalition operating of the rolling vehicle (Ruro) car in the western sidewalk of the East Port Said Bahri port of the authority, which in turn consists of (Japanese Toyota Tsosho, French Polorian, and Wi -K NYK); This is to discuss the latest developments and the official opening date of the Rouro station expected to be operated in East Port Said Port, which is located on a total area of 212 thousand square meters, with a berth of 600 meters, and a logistical square with an area of 170 thousand square meters.
During the meeting, Walid Jamal Al -Din stressed the necessity of continuing efforts to finish the work of the rolling station of the car (Ruro) in East Port Said Port, according to the planned schedule, noting the important role expected to contribute to that station in the service of the auto industry sector, which aims to economize the Suez Canal, to localize it within its strategic vision.
He added that such a project represents an additional investment advantage for the economic zone of the Suez Canal, which qualifies it to become a regional center for the auto, vehicles and industries that complement it; Where it represents an outlet on the various global markets, pointing to the integration between the industrial areas and ports of the authority, which allows the presence of smart manufacturing and logistical rules in the heart of a pivotal corridor for international trade, which enhances the competitiveness of the economic zone of the Suez Canal, and supports the integration of global supply chains.
For his part, the Director General of (Toyota Tsosho) expressed his appreciation for the meeting of the delegation of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which reflects the depth of cooperation between the two sides, stressing the commitment to the time extent scheduled for the (Rouro) project in East Port Said Port, and its aspiration to the official opening and starting soon, pointing to the international alliance of the station’s international alliance of international experiences in this field, supporting economic development, supporting economic development The desired in Egypt.
He also explained that cooperation with the economy of the Suez Canal was the result of what the coalition companies witnessed from a favorable environment for investment, supported by the strategic geographical location, which represents a gateway to various global markets, stressing the full readiness of the station and the East Port Said port after developing it to receive various types of global navigation lines specialized in car trading.
