The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities said, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that the crisis of the young Abdel Rahman carries different details from what was circulated, explaining that the “hidden secret” behind the crisis is the young man’s use of a video of the ministry about the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is the same official video that was previously published last July.

The minister added that the ministry pays great attention to protecting its rights in the propaganda and media materials related to projects, led by the Grand Egyptian Museum, noting that these materials are produced according to the highest international standards in a way that reflects the greatness of the Egyptian civilization.
The Minister of Tourism stressed that the ministry does not stand against any purposeful content that contributes to promoting Egyptian tourism, but at the same time it stresses the need to respect intellectual property and adhere to the controls and laws regulating this, pointing out that the use of official articles without prior permission may put their owners under penalty of legal accountability.
The Minister concluded his statements by emphasizing that the basic goal of the Ministry is to preserve the mental image of Egypt globally, while welcoming any efforts of individuals or institutions that contribute to supporting tourism, provided that commitment to the rules and not infringe on the rights of others.
