The team, Osama Rabie, the head of the Suez Canal Authority, honored, today, Sunday, the captain Walaa Hafez, and he gave him the Suez Canal shield in appreciation of his success in setting a record in the Guinness Book of Records by registering the longest under water of the water for a patient with quadruple paralysis for a period exceeding 6 hours at a depth of 5 meters under full medical supervision.

The honor was attended by Lieutenant -General Ashraf Atwa, Vice -President of the Authority, Engineer Jamal Abu Al -Khair, Director of the Presidency Department, Eng. Nashat Nasr, Director of the movements department, and a number of leaders of the authority, in the Al -Irshad building in Ismailia Governorate.
During the meeting, the team, Osama Rabie, affirmed the authority’s keenness to host sports events and initiatives, and to provide all the necessary support for the care of the heroes in various sports within the framework of the societal role of the authority in the channels of the channel.
The head of the commission expressed his pride and appreciation for the achievement of the captain, Walaa Hafez, and his pride in his inspiring message and an honorable image that reflects the challenge and persistence.
The team, Rabie, pointed to the interest of the sports system for the channel club to sponsor sports activities for people with determination, as a new activity of table tennis recently joined in a new step that reflects the authority’s interest in people with determination and putting them among the priorities of societal and athletic work.
For his part, the captain, Walaa Hafez, thanked the Suez Canal Authority for providing the necessary support for the success of the event, and facilitating the necessary procedures to host the sporting event and the preceding training and care in the authority’s swimming pool complex.
The captain Hafez indicated that the registration of a new record in the Guinness Book will be a motivation to hold many of the upcoming events to raise the name of Egypt, as he is currently preparing to hold a sporting event in Sharm El Sheikh during the month of December.
