The Hurghada Festival for Youth Cinema announced the honoring of the star Mohamed Mamdouh at the opening ceremony of the third session during the period from 25 to 30 September, in appreciation of his career in cinematic works.

Mamdouh expressed his appreciation for the festival for his choice of honor, noting that the honor puts the artist in a great responsibility towards his upcoming steps and that he should not be less than in his work than the level that this honor deserves, declaring the gift of honor to the children of his generation, which is proud of belonging to him, especially since it includes many talents that have achieved a great technical success and spread.

For his part, the scriptwriter Mohamed El -Basousi, president of the festival, confirmed in a statement that the festival administration is keen to choose the distinguished artistic experiences to honor and shed light on their artworks, especially cinematic ones, stressing that Mohamed Mamdouh has an inspiring experience and full of artistic works between comedies, action and Melodrama that achieved great artistic and mass success, pointing out that Mamdouh belongs to the quality The actors who are looking for the role, its realism and its impact on the audience, so he leads Al -Afish in works such as Abu Saddam, who was awarded the award for the best actor from the Cairo International Film Festival and participates in group works at other times for a love in a personality that attracted him to present it, such as Rocky, a firearm, diamond dirt, the originality, the blue elephant, the cell, and the distinguished masters who finished filming recently.
He stated that a honorary symposium will be held in which Mohamed Mamdouh will speak to critics, journalists and the media about his busy career, which includes more than 30 films.
In the same context, the journalist writer Qadri Al -Hajjar, director of the festival, affirmed that the honor of Mohamed Mamdouh reflects the festival’s faith in the role of youth in enriching Egyptian cinema and making a new generation of stars who are able to carry the art message and deliver it with sincerity and realism.
He added that the festival puts in its priorities the support and appreciation of these energies, considering that the honor of Mamdouh is in fact a tribute to a full generation that has proven his presence on the artistic scene and was able to impose his own language in performance and choice.
