Initiatives and pillars to ensure the sustainability of Bahraini women in development and upgrading the quality of their life

The national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women (2025-2026), which came based on the accreditation of the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, is the wife of the country’s great monarch, head of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, within the framework of the field of “economic participation”, to continue efforts to review and develop policies, systems and regulations to support and strengthen the center of women in the economic sectors, and ensure the sustainability of its active participation in the labor market and the field Entrepreneurship in order to achieve equal opportunities and gender balance, highlighting distinguished models and their pioneering role in the various work sectors, with a focus on modern and promising fields and technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, electronic content industry, digital transformation, space science, information technology, financial technology, communications, renewable energy and modern science, while providing legal protection to reconcile their responsibilities in the family and its work in the society.

This field adopts a comprehensive vision that focuses on enabling women to access appropriate job opportunities and encourage women’s entrepreneurship, with a special focus on addressing the gap in the economic participation of women in some areas by setting integrated policies based on developing the professional skills required in the future labor market, enhancing the legislative environment supporting women, and enhancing the culture of self -employment and entrepreneurship among women.

In the field of “Quality of Life”, the implementation of awareness initiatives and programs to enhance the proper life, health and environmental practices of Bahraini women and their family, and develop safety services for women in the work environment, with a focus on enhancing Bahraini women’s sport and providing support services for them, and achieving balance for the quality of their life, in order to complete the national efforts in the fields of quality of life.

Policy axis initiatives

The national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women (2025-2026) involves a set of initiatives for the policy axis launched by the Supreme Council for Women with the aim of developing policies supporting women in promising economic sectors and improving their professional status, policies supporting women’s participation in modern fields, developing technical and professional education curricula for students, enhancing women’s participation in the professions of medical sector, and developing policies for improving the job status of workers in the sector Nursery and kindergarten.

The plan also includes a number of initiatives aimed at developing policies for improving the quality of women’s lives, health and sports health practices, including reviewing policies and regulations related to the quality of women’s life.

Budget axis initiatives responding to women’s needs

This axis includes within the field of economic participation initiatives to develop technical and vocational education programs for girls by taking into account the application of budgets responsive to integrate women’s needs to develop the organizational frameworks for the fields of technical and vocational education for girls, as well as the financial portfolios initiatives and facilitated financing programs for women, including monitoring and evaluating the extent of benefiting from the financing portfolios for women, and investing in the banking sector initiatives in the financing programs designated for women.

It also includes within the field of quality of life on a number of initiatives that aim to enhance the taking into account the needs of women when allocating budgets in the fields of quality of life in sports and health sectors, including following up the application of budgets responding to women’s needs in the federations and sports clubs necessary for training programs in various sports, including equestrian and others, in addition to following up the application of budgets responsive to women’s needs in terms of health services provided to women and enhancing prevention programs from Diseases, housing and social services.

Axis of awareness and training axis (knowledge management)

There are many initiatives related to awareness of women’s success stories in the field of entrepreneurship and media highlighting the success stories and distinguished models in the economic fields and entrepreneurship, in addition to a number of specialized training initiatives and include awareness of the options available for programs to support local and international professional certificates to develop skills in line with the promising jobs of the labor market that contribute to sustaining the job development of women or opening New fields of work for them such as specialized certificates in the banking sector, tourism, hotel and restaurant fields, as well as technical training programs that include awareness of specialized and technical training programs, and awareness of the importance of women’s economic participation.

In the field of quality of life, the Supreme Council for Women, in cooperation with the partners, was keen to work on several initiatives aimed at raising the awareness of women about the opportunities to improve the quality of their life through sports and health and provide them with the skills necessary to achieve this, and these initiatives include educating women about sound environmental practices and the impact of climate change on women and family, and educating women about home agricultural returns and their impact on the quality of the life of women and the family and the options available to implement them, In addition to their awareness of the importance of green surfaces and promising initiatives to encourage women’s entry into the entrepreneur in the implementation of agricultural projects. The initiatives also include awareness of healthy health practices, awareness of health and life requirements for people with disabilities, and educating women about the skills of positive dealing with psychological and social pressures.
