The separate economic report issued by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy revealed the total number of Bahrainis working and registered in the public and private sectors by 0.5%, at the end of the first quarter of 2025, compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. The number of Bahrainis registered in the labor market in the public and private sectors during the first quarter of 2025, about 155588 Bahrainites.
The data published in the semester report of the Ministry of Finance indicated that, according to the initial data issued by the General Authority for Social Insurance by the end of the first quarter of the current year, the number of Bahraini workers registered in the public sector reached 51,130 thousand Bahraini, an increase of 0.5% on a quarterly basis. Statistics confirmed the increase in the number of Bahraini workers registered in the private sector to the Public Authority for Social Insurance by 0.5% on a quarterly basis to reach 104.458 Bahraini, which constitutes 67.1% of the total Bahrainis registered with the authority, and women constitute about 42.2% of the total Bahraini registered to reach 65.710 Bahraini.
With regard to the average wages, it recorded an increase for Bahraini workers in the private sector by 3.3%, compared to the fourth quarter of the year 2024, to reach 881 dinars, and the average monthly wage for Bahraini workers in the public sector reached 974 dinars, recording a slight decrease of 0.1% compared to the fourth quarter of the year 2024.
The report drew attention to the decrease in the average monthly wage for non -Bahraini workers by 0.7% on a quarterly basis, to 271 dinars.
The report touched on that the wage broker for Bahraini workers in the private sector, which remained fixed on a quarterly basis at 500 dinars, while the monthly average of Bahrainis in the public sector decreased by 0.1% on a quarterly basis to reach 813 dinars.
He pointed out that the monthly wage mediator for Bahraini workers in the public sector amounted to 818 dinars, is met by 787 dinars for Bahraini workers, while in the private sector, Bahraini workers reached 500 dinars.
The report stated that as a result of the consensus that took place between the legislative authority during the discussion of the general budget for the two financial years 2025-2026, and within the framework of implementing the labor market plan 2023-2026, at the end of the first quarter of this year, 24% of the annual goal was completed by employing 25 thousand Bahraini annually, and the completion of 25% for the annual goal that 8 thousand Bahraini within new two within the labor market, in addition to achieving 28% of the annual training For 15 thousand Bahraini annually.
