The Syrian Ministry of Defense Media and Communication Department announced today (Friday) that the attacks of the former regime supporters against the army forces escalated during the past three days in the countryside of Latakia and Tartous in the Syrian coast.
The administration added, in statements to the “Syrian Arab Agency”, that the army’s military mechanism was attacked yesterday by “groups of the remnants of the defunct regime” in Lattakia countryside, without any human losses.
The administration confirmed that the Ministry of Defense “continues to protect all components of the Syrian people and preserve the civil peace”, warning “the remnants of the defunct regime from any attempt to destabilize security and stability in the Syrian coast.”
She stressed: “We will not be lenient with any targeting the army or civilians.”
The Syrian coast had witnessed bloody battles that killed civilians, civilian security forces, and gunmen belonging to the former regime forces after an attack on the public security forces.
