The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, the high number of poisoning cases caused by alcohol consumption to 160 cases, while the number of deaths reached 23. The ministry explained that most of the cases were admitted to the intensive care departments in various hospitals, where many cases required the use of artificial respirators and the conduct of urgent washing sessions for the kidneys due to the severity of the complications.
All injuries of Asian nationalities
The ministry indicated that all the injured are Asian nationalities, confirming the continuing follow -up to all cases around the clock. Coordination is carried out with the Kuwait Center for Poison Control, Security Bodies and the concerned authorities to ensure the provision of the highest levels of medical care and the tightening of control.
The ministry warns of dangerous behaviors
The Ministry of Health warned the audience of these behaviors, calling on everyone to avoid alcohol consumption and preserving lives. The Ministry emphasized that continuous monitoring and immediate intervention are among the most important procedures to reduce poisoning and community protection.
An invitation to report cases of poisoning
The Ministry called on citizens and residents to immediately report any cases of suspicion of poisoning across the hot emergencies that operate around the clock, or through the approved communication channels, to help quickly intervene and provide life -saving medical care.
