On the twelfth of August every year, the world celebrates the International Youth Day in order to highlight the role of youth in making the future of nations, and urged countries and governments to take more policies and measures to enable them and involve them in decision -making and benefit from their energies for a more sustainable and prosperous future.
In the Kingdom of Bahrain, the youth receive great attention from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, as His Majesty is always keen to involve young people in the development and decision -making process, as well as the efforts and initiatives led by the government headed His Highness Sheikh Nasserin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee in supporting youth empowerment and providing an appropriate climate to show their capabilities, innovations and employ them effectively in all areas of national action, which contributes to raising the ability of the national economy, and the Ministry of Youth celebration this year comes under the slogan “Empowering youth for a sustainable future” within the Fourteenth Youth City project in its fourteenth edition, which is consistent with the Kingdom’s economic vision 2030, and in this context and in cooperation with a number of ministries and other bodies, including the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture by launching the first market for young farmers, the national initiative for the development of the agricultural sector, and other activities that embody the Kingdom’s firm belief in the role that young people play as an important partner in building the future, and benefiting from their energies To show the honorable image of the Kingdom at the regional and international levels.
