The Minister of Communications and Communications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, confirmed Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the high care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, put young people at the forefront of national priorities, within an integrated work system that keeps pace with the capabilities of the country and the aspirations of the future, noting the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, to devote the youth partnership in sustainable development plans and programs, and enhance the spirit of innovation and creativity they have.
D. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Youth Day, that this occasion is of exceptional importance, as it coincides with the approaching anniversary of the World Youth Work Program, which represents a general framework to enable this active group as a positive force in the progress of societies, pointing to the contribution of the Kingdom of Bahrain to preparing the executive plan for the Arab Youth, Peace and Security strategy 2023-2028, and the occurrence of the national project “Glossary” for the award for the best Arab government project to empower youth for 2024.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees pointed out that His Majesty, the King of the country, preferred to visit the “Youth City 2030”, is a translation of the royal vision to continue to rehabilitate and build the capabilities of young people to keep pace with the accelerated developments, expressing his pride in the pioneering achievements that the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields of youth work, within the framework of a comprehensive national identity and an honorable international presence.
The Minister praised the qualitative efforts and creative initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to invest the energies of new generations, and also praised the great role played by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee, to improve the youth and sports sector in the Kingdom.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees stated that the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance continues its efforts to create a favorable environment in front of young people and young people; To spread intellectual enlightenment and ensure best practices in spreading the principles and values of understanding and harmony, pointing out in this regard to the launch of the “King Hamad Leadership in Coexistence” program in cooperation with the British institutions “Faith in Leadership” and “1928 Institute” of Oxford University, and the “Joint Higher Studies Diploma on Coexistence” program in cooperation with the United Nations University of Peace, and a Joya Higher Education Foundation In Malta, in addition to the “Science Schools for Peace” initiative in cooperation with the International Parliamentary Union, the series of electronic seminars to combat hate speech under the title “From Hat to Hope”, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO”, the Argato International Organization, and the United Nations University of Peace.
He explained that the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance is inspired by its provisions from the visions and words of His Majesty the King in the declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that the center is a real partner for young people in raising the right awareness, and building bridges of coexistence for a more peaceful and prosperous world.
