Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qaliubiya, chaired the meeting of the Council of Industrial Zones, stressing that the state is making every effort to support industrial areas, noting that industrial areas are one of the main axes to achieve economic development and create new job opportunities for youth in addition to creating an attractive environment for investment to stimulate economic growth.
During the meeting, several important decisions were taken to support investors and facilitate their business.
It was also approved to reconsider the fines imposed on some investors for their delay in production due to circumstances outside their will, and a number of other fines were transferred to the legal advisor of the province for study. The Council also agreed to change the activity of an investor after addressing the Public Authority for Industrial Development.
In a related context, the governor announced the governorate’s plan to establish the Association of Businessmen and Investors of Qaliubiya, and this association will be a unified entity that brings together all investors, and aims to present their demands to the competent authorities to end the necessary procedures and facilitate their duties.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary -General, the legal advisor to the governorate, the director of investment and industrial areas, in addition to financial and legal affairs officials.
