Within the framework of the country’s firm belief in the family as the basic nucleus of society, and its endeavor to organize everything related to family stability according to a comprehensive legal umbrella, the UAE issued a decree of Federal Law No. (41) of 2024, regarding the new personal status law, as it entered into force last April. The decree of a federal law provides a comprehensive and integrated legal framework for organizing personal status issues, with the aim of supporting societal cohesion and family stability and protecting the entity of the family, in order to enhance its role in society and its active participation in societal development.
