The background of the incident: a hunt on the highway and the seizure of 4 accused
The security services had arrested 4 people suspected of being involved in an attempt to intimidate the candidate Mohamed Yassin, while walking on the highway between the village of Al -Aberat and Esna, where two cars – one of which was Hyundai Black and the other Mitsubishi Silver – intercepted in an incident that was documented through a live broadcast that included threatening expressions.
After the accident, the candidate Mohamed Yassin released an official report at the Armant police station, calling for the speedy arrest of the perpetrators, while the campaign of Representative Mohamed Abdel -Alim al -Dabawi denied his rival in the run -off, that is, its link to the incident, confirming its commitment to the honorable competition and its rejection of any violations.
