In a world in which the rhythm became rapid and in front of the regional and global circumstances surrounding us, there has become a change in the state’s developmental, social and economic facades, which led to the acceleration of social and economic development, and the concept of social responsibility is no longer a luxury or an option that we discuss in terms of thinking whether we apply it in our institutions or not, but it has become an inevitable necessity and a reality that we do not need to do in front of what we respond to great challenges. Social responsibility has become the basis for building institutions A healthy development that takes into account ethical, environmental and societal standards, serves mental health and a balance between achieving the interests of sustainable development and the interest of society, institutions and individuals.
In front of this difficult equation at a time when the changes and challenges abounded, we find that the Bahraini Society for Social Responsibility, which emerged to appear in 2011 to establish a culture of giving and societal awareness and stabilizing the Arab and Islamic identity in sustainable development projects today takes these goals and moves towards a direction to be an important reference in social responsibility on the land of the Kingdom of Bahrain, awareness, education and guidance on this very important development concept that has become it His culture globally, and this movement has its commendable fruits, where the first club of social responsibility was established in the Arab Gulf countries at the Royal University of Girls in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and there is aspiration and movements by the association to create more than one club in more than one university in the Gulf countries.
There are several important points raised by the Gulf Social Responsibility Conference 2025 in its third edition, where the president of the association, Khaled Al -Qaoud, announced during his proposal to the recommendations of the conference a number of goals and foundations that must be moved towards them, including that there is an urgent need to create a clear evidence that contributes to defining social responsibility correctly in front of the presence of more than a hundred definitions of this term without a unified definition in addition to the necessity of launching a global day for social responsibility, so that it is celebrated with all partners in other countries And the establishment of a financing portfolio that is funded from the profits of the private sector, and is managed equally between the private and governmental sector to build projects in sustainable development and for partnership in government projects in the country in which this portfolio is established, in addition to that there is a course of certified certificate such as a master’s and doctorate in social responsibility that is presented and prominent from the universities of the Gulf states and here it is clear that the association is heading towards finding unification in the efforts of social responsibility on the efforts of social responsibility The level of the Arab Gulf states and that the Kingdom of Bahrain be a platform to embrace these efforts and apply these international concepts and standards in proportion to our Gulf societies.
