Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanu, Minister of Culture, held an expanded meeting with members of the Higher Committee for the Arab Music Festival and Conference in its thirty -third session, which is scheduled to be held from October 16 to 25, 2025, to follow up on preparations and preparations for the next session, which comes within the framework of “Umm Kulthum General”, where the Arab singing lady Umm Kulthum was chosen for the festival for this year.
The meeting was attended by a number of members of the supreme committee of the festival, namely: Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, President of the Egyptian Opera House and the head of the festival, the maestro Tamer Ghoneim, the festival director, the maestro Amir Abdel Majid, Dr. Imad Ashour, the artist Mohamed El Helou, the poet Jamal Bakhit, the media Jasmine Taha, the Maestro Dr. Ahmed Atef, Professor Hani Hosni, and the Maestro Dr. Saeed Kamal, Saeed, Maestro Mohamed Al -Muji, Mestro Mustafa Helmy, and Maestro Ahmed Amer.
During the meeting, the official poster for the 33rd session, which the artist Alaa Hegazy gifted to the festival, was discussed and approved by one of his paintings in which he participated in his exhibition “The Past and the Present”, which was held last December in Salah Taher Hall in the Egyptian Opera House, and the Minister of Culture thanked the artist for this high -end artistic gesture that reflects the symbolism of the personality of the year.
The meeting also discussed the axes of the Arab Music Conference accompanying the festival, which comes this year under the title: “Arab music in light of the digital transformation … prospects and challenges”, a topic that reflects the impact of the digital revolution on Arab music in its various aspects, from composition, distribution and performance to education and documentation, in light of accelerated technological variables that have become necessary to interact with and absorb it within the system of Arab creativity.
The conference deals with four main axes: the future of Arab music in the era of artificial intelligence, the prospects for music education in light of technological development, and documentary visions since the famous Arab Music Conference in Cairo in 1932 and its development in light of the digital transformation, challenges of Arab music production, composing, composing, distributing and performing in the digital age.
The scientific committee of the conference also called on the researchers to send their research papers dealing with the axes of the conference, to be new and not published or presented before, and not exceeding 15 pages, written according to the specified criteria, including a summary in both Arabic and English, and a brief biography, as well as a PowerPoint presentation of analytical models, where research is sent to email: [email protected]No. August 25, 2025.
