Sheikh Khaled Al -Jundi, a member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, said that the Holy Qur’an dealt with the subject of the cave owners in a deliberate miraculous manner, as it opened the door for controversy in their number, but it completely closed it regarding the duration of their stay inside the cave.
Why did the Qur’an resolve the duration of the cave owners and their number did not settle?
The soldier explained, in television statements, today, Wednesday, that God Almighty left the number of owners of the cave open for diligence, with evidence of his saying: “They will say three of their fourth dog, and say five of them their dog, stoning the unseen, and they say seven and their eighth dog, say my Lord knows after them what they know only a few,” noting that the text did not decide the number, but he confirmed that there is a few. “
He added that the verse related to the time of their survival in the cave came conclusively: “And they stayed in their cave three hundred years and increased nine”, without leaving room for estimates or controversy as happened in the number, which reflects the “cosmic Qur’an” and his accuracy when he wanted to resolve the information.
The soldier pointed out that the real lesson in the story does not lie in the number of owners of the cave, but rather in the miraculous time they spent inside the cave, stressing that the miracle was at the length of time, whether they were small or much.
He said that the Qur’an calls on a person to focus on what benefits and distracts him from attachment to what is useless, adding: “There is no apparently a visible mirror in them and no one of them is from them,” in an indication that the debate in their number is not a doors of benefit.
