In the context of ensuring the regularity of the start of the Egyptian Premier League championship on time scheduled, coordination was made between the ministries of youth and sports, finance, communications and information technology, along with the Egyptian Football Association, to end the crisis of assistant video technology application requirements (VAR).
The Ministry of Sports announces the solution to the crisis of video technology supplies before the start of the league championship
This rapid government intervention came, after receiving information stating that there is technical and administrative obstacles that may hinder the readiness of VAR technology in managing the league matches, which is one of the main pillars to achieve arbitration justice and ensure the course of matches smoothly.
The joint coordination between the relevant ministries and the Football Association resulted in resolving the crisis, and allowing the entry of the necessary technical supplies, which ensures the start of the tournament from delay or defect in the arbitration system.
Earlier, Eng. Hani Abu Raida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, was keen to attend the Video Licensing Referees Training Camp, currently held at the National Teams Center, under the supervision of Igor, the FIFA delegate and the VAR minutes of the International Federation.
Abu Raida spoke to the rulers participating in the camp, noting the importance of intensive training on the VAR technology to avoid errors, stressing the Egyptian Federation’s interest in expanding the rule of rulers with VAR licenses.
The Egyptian Football Association seeks to develop the VAR technology in Egypt, by providing the latest devices and equipment and adequately training referees.
