Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up the efforts to advance the agricultural fertilizer industry in Egypt, and the system for its circulation, in the presence of the team, the engineer of Kamel, the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, Mohamed Salah El Din, Minister of State for Military Production, Ahmed Kajuk, Minister of Finance, Aladdin Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Engineer Mohamed Shemi, Minister of Public Business Sector, Engineer Hassan Al Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Al -Sajini, Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, and officials of a number of ministries and relevant authorities.

The Prime Minister stressed at the beginning of the meeting that today’s meeting comes within the framework of continuous attention from the various state agencies to advance the various vital industrial sectors, including the agricultural fertilizer industry, given the importance and role of this industry in providing local needs of agricultural fertilizers, in light of the agricultural expansion witnessed by various parts of the Republic.
The Prime Minister pointed to the available facilities to support the agricultural fertilizer industry in Egypt and attract more investments to it, in a way that contributes to increasing the size of the product from them, in response to local needs, which is reflected positively on the rates of agricultural productivity, in order to achieve more Egyptian food security goals, in addition to the possibility of exporting the surplus of these fertilizers and opening many new global markets to these products of agricultural fertilizers.
The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of the continuous development of the fertilizer industry in Egypt, to keep pace with global developments in modern agricultural patterns and technologies, which require special and developed fertilizers, in an effort to increase the volume of production, and in implementation of sustainable agriculture aspects.
Counselor Mohamed Al -Homsani, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting reviewed the efforts of the different parties to advance the manufacture of agricultural fertilizers in Egypt, to achieve more self -sufficiency and export the surplus, and the meeting also dealt with the position of developing and modernizing the agricultural fertilizer trading system, in a manner that ensures its arrival to those who deserve it from farmers, and not leaking this support to those who are not entitled.
He added: The Prime Minister stressed in this regard the importance of continuing efforts to govern the fertilizer trading system, and expanding the mechanization of more services, in addition to the continued purification of agricultural records from fake holdings, which would tighten control over fertilizer trading operations from the factory to those who deserve them from farmers.
