The polls were closed in all electoral committees on the first day of the Senate elections

Eng. Adel Al -Najjar, Governor of Giza, announced that at nine o’clock this evening, the voting process was completed on the first day, and the polls were closed in all electoral committees in the Governorate Department, after the end of the first day of the Senate elections.

The governor affirmed that the electoral process took place in a calm atmosphere characterized by discipline, integrity and transparency without recording any obstacles or problems that are mentioned, noting that the electoral committees will open their doors again to voters at exactly nine o’clock tomorrow morning to complete the second day of voting.

The governor explained that the first day witnessed an honorable demand from citizens, reflecting the awareness and keenness of the people of Giza Governorate to perform their national and constitutional duty and effective participation in choosing their representatives in the Senate.

Eng. Adel Al -Najjar continued the closing of the polls through the main operations room of the governorate’s general office, the sub -rooms of the centers and cities and the Center for the Unified National Network for Emergency and Public Safety, which works around the clock to follow up the progress of the electoral process and coordinate with the security and executive services to facilitate voting procedures and ensure the safety of citizens.

The governor of Giza added that the state provided all the capabilities necessary for the electoral process to exit properly, praising the role of the security forces in securing the vicinity of the committees, as well as the efforts of the heads of the committees and employees based on the electoral process, who showed a great discipline and responsibility in reflecting a civilized image of the democratic process.
