The Bahraini Red Crescent organizes an advanced training course for first aid coaches

The Bahraini Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in the State of Kuwait, organized an advanced training course to prepare first aid coaches, and the course that was held at the headquarters of the association over a period of four days aimed to rehabilitate specialized competencies in first aid training; This is to enhance societal awareness and the ability to respond in emergency situations.

The first stage of the course witnessed an intense focus on the practical and medical aspects of first aid, as the participants received a comprehensive training on primary care instructions, cardiac resuscitation (for adults, children, and infants), and how to use an automatic fibrillation device, and the axes also included dealing with heart attacks, airway blockage, and identifying medical and environmental emergencies such as stress Thermal, sunstroke, drowning, diabetes -related emergencies, asthma, and epilepsy, and the course also touched on the types of burns and methods of treatment, various poisoning cases, first aid skills of fractures, bleeding, spine injuries.

While the course focused in its second stage on the educational and training aspects of preparing the trainers, where the participants were defined by the concept of training and its importance in the field of first aid, and they were able to identify the various types of trainees and methods of dealing with them in the first aid courses, in addition to exploring the knowledge, skill and emotional characteristics of the effective coach, and this stage included the application of various training methods And its mastery, in addition to the skill of asking questions, and identifying the behavioral patterns of the trainees, as well as the difference between training and education, and the distribution of topics to the trainees effectively. The course concluded with a practical application project, ended with evaluation and notes on performance and results.

On this occasion, Mrs. Fatima Ahmed, head of the first aid committee at the Bahraini Red Crescent Society, confirmed that the session achieved its desired goals in preparing qualified trainers who are able to spread the culture of first aid and qualify new cadres in this vital field, noting that this session reflects the commitment of the Bahraini Red Crescent Society to enhance the capabilities of society to respond to rapid and effective response in emergency situations, through construction A strong base of specialized trainers who are able to spread awareness and knowledge in the field of first aid in the Kingdom.
