The Civil Protection Forces in Qalioubia managed to control a fire that broke out inside a warehouse of plastic waste in the Izbat Al -Abyad area in Abu Zaabal, the Al -Khanka Center district, without any human injuries.
A fire in a plastic store
The Qalubiya Security Directorate had received a report from the people stating that a fire was broken in a store that contained compressed plastic waste. Immediately, the security and civil protection forces moved to Al -Balagh site, and two fire engines were pushed from the Khanka unit, a firefighting car from Arimco, in addition to a 15 tons of water tank.
The forces were able to control and completely extinguish the fire, and prevent its extension to the neighboring buildings.
With the inspection and the examination, it was found that the fire broke out inside a property consisting of a ground floor and the first uninterrupted upper, on a total area estimated at 500 square meters. The fire resulted in damage to 100 meters on the ground floor that contained plastic waste, while the fire extended to an area of 50 meters on the upper floor, which contained cotton waste.
A report of the incident was issued, and the Public Prosecution office that conducted the investigation was notified.
