A new study from New York University, Abu Dhabi, has opened new and exciting horizons in the search for life outside the earth, and the possibility of conditions for life even in the darkest and most cold places within the solar system. The study led by Demetra Atari, the main researcher at the space exploration laboratory at the Center for Astronomical Physics and Space Sciences at the International Journal of Astronomical Biology, and the research team focused on the results of water or ice under the surface of the Earth to cosmic rays, as this leads to the dismantling of water molecules and the release of small particles called electrons, and some types of bacteria on the planet can use these electrons to obtain energy.
