Sources revealed that the power outage was part of the urban area in Giza Governorate, a short time ago, as a result of technical works related to the installation of new cables within the plan to develop and improve the electricity network in the region.

The sources pointed out that the interruption comes within the framework of the efforts of the Electricity Company to update the quality of the service provided to the citizens, noting that the field work teams began implementing the installations this morning, and it is expected to be completed within hours.
Meanwhile, several areas in Giza Governorate witnessed a renewed interruption in the electrical current, in the urban areas, Sakia Makki, Al -Munib, Al -Madbah, Dr. Muhammad Fouad Saeed Street, and the old thirty street, despite the governorate’s announcement a few hours ago about the repair of the cable of the higher voltage (66 kV) in the Sakia Makki area of the South Giza neighborhood.
A large number of the people and residents of the affected areas expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the return of the power outage again, especially after their suffering from a previous outage that lasted for more than 48 hours, in light of the high temperatures during the current period.
The governorate has announced the gradual start of the electrical current to the affected areas and vital and public facilities, after the completion of maintenance and repair work, but complaints about the return of the interruption indicate the continued presence of technical problems or breakdowns that have not been fully treated yet.
