Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, the governor of Beni Suef, chaired an expanded meeting to follow up the final preparations for the 2025 Senate elections, which take place on Monday and Tuesday (4 and 5 August), while it will be held abroad on Friday and Saturday (1 and 2 August).
The meeting was attended by Major General Hazem Ezzat, Secretary -General, Major General Sami Allam, Assistant Secretary -General, Brigadier General Mohamed Bari Abdel Majid, the military adviser to the governorate, Dr. Mohamed Jabr, the governor’s assistant, and a number of executive leaders in the governorate, including officials of the follow -up and political communication departments and the general directors of the departments specialized in the governorate’s general office.
During the meeting, the governor reviewed the executive plan and coordination procedures between the concerned authorities, noting that the total number of those entitled to vote in the governorate is 2 million and 80 thousand and 140 voters and voters, distributed among 368 electoral headquarters, including 371 sub -committees at the level of the seven positions in the governorate.
The distribution of the electoral headquarters came as follows: 74 headquarters in the Beni Suef Center and City Department, 29 headquarters in the Nasser Center and City, 50 headquarters in the center and city of Samasta, 44 headquarters in the center and city of Ihnasia, 60 headquarters in the center and city of Baba, 47 headquarters in the center and city of Al -Wasiti, 64 headquarters in the center and city
The electoral headquarters include schools, youth centers, agricultural associations, Azhar institutes, and solidarity and veterinary units.
The governor also continued the position of the headquarters readiness in terms of maintenance, equipment and basic facilities such as electricity and water, in addition to providing the necessary facilities for voters, especially the elderly and people with special needs, by providing animated brochures and appropriate waiting places.
“Ghoneim” stressed the importance of intensifying hygiene work in the vicinity of the headquarters and preventing any occupations that hinder the movement of citizens, stressing that the role of the executive body is limited to providing administrative and organizational support to facilitate the electoral process and ensure its progress in a safe and organized atmosphere.
The Governor also discussed the plan to activate the main and subsidiary operating rooms to follow up the electoral process around the clock, and to deal immediately with any obstacles or complaints, directed quickly to finish reviewing the procedures according to a unified model that circulates at the governorate level, taking advantage of the previous experiences in the past constitutional benefits.
