The decision issued by His Excellency Dr. Jalila Bint Al -Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is Resolution No. 16 of 2025, which organizes the methods and means of medical aid and the treatment of emergency cases in the workplace, where the decision obligated companies to appoint a qualified and trained person on first aid for every 20 workers, with the mandatory providing at least one aid fund for every 100 workers, and conducting a periodic examination of its contents to ensure that Its validity and its effect.
This decision is an important step to enhance the safety standards of workers, protect them from the risks of accidents and injuries, and to reduce work injuries that may leave physical damage and possibly disabilities for the worker, or may lead to death, God forbid.
This decision comes to activate and employ the role of paramedics in the Kingdom of Bahrain. There are large numbers of Bahraini youth who have licenses specialized in first aid. Such qualified youth can benefit from their competence and ambulance skills in implementing this decision.
One of the proposals that I see is useful in implementing this decision is to create an application of a phone so that the collection of the names of the volunteer paramedics licensed in Bahrain, and when an accident occurs with an injured person who needs an ambulance that appears in the phone of each paramedic a message showing the location of the accident in which the injured person needs an ambulance and the type of injury, so the closest paramedic goes to the site of the accident and with him the first aid bag to play his role in the ambulance process, and the employer can reward The volunteer, in the event that he does an ambulance of the injured worker at the work site, is that relying on this application will provide the employer to a specialized paramedic with a highly efficient trained, and it is easy to invest the capabilities of the licensed paramedics, and that the ambulance service will not provide the injured workers in work sites only, but for any injured and anywhere, and thus the opportunity to activate the role of paramedics to reduce the effects of accidents on the injured everywhere and not work sites Only.
