The Department of Municipal and Planning in Ajman announced the registration of the air quality index in the emirate 96.19%, according to the report issued by the department for the statistics of the first half of this year 2025, which is compatible with the directions of Ajman 2030 vision to enhance environmental sustainability. Dr. Eng. Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector in the department, stressed that the index witnessed a remarkable increase compared to previous years, as it reached 94.40% during the first half of 2024, and achieved 93.48% in the same period in 2023, which confirms the effectiveness of environmental initiatives launched by the department and the success of its plans to reduce air pollution and promote sustainability
