Major General Tariq Hamid Al -Shazly confirmed, Suez GovernorThe necessity of obliging all tourist villages to contract with accredited contractors to transfer waste to the approved health burial, stressing the development of follow -up mechanisms that guarantee the safe disposal of garbage.
Controls for safe disposal of waste in villages and tourist hotels
The Governor of Suez indicated, in press statements, that some villages and tourist establishments will not be allowed to throw waste in random places, because of this an environmental and healthy danger, and that it represents a challenge to efforts to improve the tourist environment in the governorate.
He added that he quickly prepared a comprehensive database that includes all accredited contractors in the field of waste transfer and safe disposal of them, provided that these lists are distributed to the departments of tourist villages to facilitate contracting procedures, and to ensure dealing with recognized and committed bodies with environmental controls.
Major General Tariq Hamed Al -Shazly also pointed out that he asked the Environmental Affairs Agency, in coordination with the waste management unit, to activate official environmental contracts, stressing the importance of the role of civil protection in follow -up and control within the villages to reduce the risks of self -ignition, and provide a safe environment that supports tourism development.
In a move aimed at encouraging community participation, the governor announced the inauguration of fixed outlets within the five neighborhoods of the governorate to receive recyclable waste, such as cartoon, plastic, paper and minerals, provided that they are offered home commodities or life supplies in the barter system, as part of an integrated plan to enhance environmental awareness and achieve an economic benefit from recycling.
