Whenever I visited Egypt, I felt that my heart is back twenty years, there is in Cairo, in Alexandria, or even in the depth of Upper Egypt.
I do not exaggerate if I said what I visited more than Egypt, and no country whenever it leaves, I feel that I am leaving behind a house in which life does not end, since my first visit years ago I knew that true love is not made but lives in every moment, as the Egyptian people do not receive you with words but with love, he asks you about your news as if you were the son of the neighbors, and insists that you share his food and drink, as if one of them is one of them Your country.
But Egypt is not only the warmth of its people, it is also a country that does not stop building and developing; On every visit to me, I see a new path .. a renaissance city .. a giant project, or a neighborhood that was returned to the soul, the countryside changes and the capital is expanding and the new cities are beating, as if it says we do not live on the past .. but we build it for the future.
On the anniversary of the July 23 revolution, I always return to the great story that is still the movement of the conscience of Egyptians and the Arabs; That revolution was a detailed moment in the history of Egypt, in addition to being a spark of hope for many peoples looking for liberation and dignity.
The glorious July Revolution; That revolution that opened the door to social justice, the right to education, the free health, and the empowerment of the farmer and the worker, and restored the simple Egyptian his voice and position, and she was not satisfied with that, but extended her hand to her brothers in the Arab world; Algeria supported its revolution, helped Palestine, embraced the Arab intellectuals, and contributed to the formulation of the thought of Arab liberation in the 1960s and 1970s.
The July 23 revolution was not a political change, but rather a civilized project that has what he has and what he has, but it was, in essence, a sincere expression of people’s dream of dignity and justice.
Today, after more than seven decades have passed at that moment, Egypt is still proceeding … renewed, re -read itself and challenges reality, and always proves that it is not only “the mother of the world” as a way of metaphor, but by the facts of history, the spirit of peoples and lessons of civilization.
Whenever I return to her and coexist with her people, I said to myself; If you want to understand the Arab, start in Egypt, and if you want to see how the homelands resist love and work, listen to the pulse of the Egyptian street.
And on every memory, and on every visit, I get out of Egypt and I am more certain that this country will never stop surprising.
