The fig competition at the Liwa Wet Festival recorded strong competitions between farmers in the red and yellow figs, amid the participation of 38 farms, which provided about 400 kg of figs produced from the state farms for this season, within the 21 competitions that continue until July 27 in the city of Liwa, Al Dhafra region. The winners were crowned Obaid Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festival and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, in the presence of Sultan Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agricultural Center in the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and Issa Abdullah Al -Khoury, a main officer of housing services at the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and a number of farmers, representatives of the participating authorities and festival visitors.
