Engineer Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing Fund, confirmed that the seventh announcement of the “Housing for all Egyptians” initiative targets limited and middle -income categories, with his specialization mainly for citizens who had previously been applied and have not been lucky in previous ads.

She explained in televised statements, that the application is carried out through the “Digital Egypt” platform, as part of the efforts of the state’s digital transformation, where qualified citizens receive text messages stating that they are right to apply, noting that the maximum family income for low -income people is 15 thousand pounds and 12 thousand pounds for single, while the average income is 25 thousand pounds for the family and 20 thousand pounds for single.
She pointed out that the current announcement is witnessing for the first time the launch of “green housing” units that depend on environmentally friendly criteria, achieved energy and relieves the monthly burdens on citizens, adding that there are illustrative videos that explain the method of registration and green housing features on the fund’s official platforms.
Regarding the priority of the tenants, it revealed that there is a basic condition that requires the beneficiary to waive the unit leased by the old rental system upon receipt of the new unit, to ensure the support of its actual entitlements.
In response to delay complaints in the delivery of some projects, she explained that the fund granted additional qualifications to contractors due to the repercussions of Corona and floating the pound, stressing that the delay rates in an acceptable time scope, stressing that all units will be delivered successively according to the specified schedule.
She concluded her speech by emphasizing the continuation of the presidential initiative to launch new units periodically, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership by providing a decent housing for all Egyptians from different groups.
