Major General Dr. Abdel -Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, inspected the experimental operation of the medical center in Al -Kawthar neighborhood, located on an area of 600 square meters, to serve the people of the Al -Kawthar neighborhood and the neighboring villages, within the projects of the local development program in Upper Egypt, and the governorate’s plan to expand the provision of medical and treatment services to citizens throughout the province.

This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Helmy, Assistant Secretary -General of the Governorate, MP Mohamed Labib, member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Ali Bhanes, head of the Akhmim Center and City, and Al -Suwin, head of Al -Kawthar neighborhood.
The governor inspected the internal clinics, children, bones, women and obstetrics, which began to provide services to citizens with the beginning of the experimental operation of the center, and the governor reassured the presence of the necessary medical teams to provide appropriate health services to the frequencies on the center, and the availability of medicines and medical vaccines needed in the pharmacy, stressing the continuation of work in the evening period to provide the best level of medical services to the people of the neighborhood, villages and subsidiaries.
The governor of Sohag stressed the keenness of preserving the improvement of the level of health services provided to citizens, and working to exploit all unarpsed medical facilities to achieve the maximum benefit from them, stressing the need for continuous follow -up to all health facilities in various centers, and affirming full readiness to deal with emergency cases and providing decent medical services to citizens, noting that the health sector represents a maximum priority within the province’s plan to improve the quality of life and achieve development Sustainable.
It is noteworthy that the new medical center in Al -Kawthar neighborhood is located on a flat area of 3600 meters, and the center of the center occupies an area of 600 square meters, at a cost of 18 million pounds, and it consists of 4 floors; A ground floor, 3 upper floors, a surrounding wall in the center, and includes the ground floor “an emergency reception, a radiology room, toilets, sterilization room, two laundry rooms, a waste room, a pharmacy and a store, a children’s clinic, a gynecologist, and administrative offices, and includes the first and second rounds 4 laboratories, 2 meeting room, 2 systems rooms, in addition to 10 clinics, while it includes the third floor Alawi housing for doctors.
